Oh, I received my first amateur radio license in 1976 and I wanted to have amateur radio as a hobby because it was totally distinct and different from anything else that I had done.
Besides amateur radio, I am a avid reader, and a Winston Churchill Collectibles collector. I also enjoy ancient history and have a small collection of pottery and items from the 15th century BC up through the first century A.D.
My wife, Nancy, and I like to travel and we have two children and five grandchildren.
