If one of your goals is to stay current on what’s happening in Lodi, then look no further than Steve Mann’s informative column called “About Lodi” … published twice a week (Tues & Fri) in the Lodi News-Sentinel.
While containing an oblique reference to our mastery of dits and dah’s under challenging conditions, today’s read was especially well received by the Lodi Amateur Radio Club because it drew attention to our activities and contributions to the community.

NEW SITE: The Lodi Amateur Radio Club has a new website—lodihams.org. The organization boasts 80-plus members. One of its key initiatives is to train local ham operators to provide vital radio communications during local emergencies. When the group isn’t honing their emergency preparedness skills, they do fun stuff like launch high altitude communication balloons into the atmosphere and bounce signals off the moon, says club member Keith Colgan. Why, last weekend they even went on a “field trip” to Klinker Brick Winery. That oughta slur their Morse Code.
